Electrical Installation Condition Reporting: Virgin Logistics Warehouse, Heathrow.

We were instructed by Cofely on behalf of Virgin Atlantic to inspect the electrical installation withinVirgin Atlantic's Logistics warehouse next to Heathrow Airport.

Our brief was sraight forward, carry out all testing, keep out of the way and get the job done within as short a time frame as possible.

This is a restricted access area and the staff are very security consious. We were required to work in areas where sensitive equipment and aircraft spares are stored. There were no restrictions on working hours as the area is in use 24 hours a day.

Circuit testing was performed on all circuits including high level lighting, heating controls security lighting and general lighting and power circuits.

Where possible detailed testing of every circuit was completed and the client was provided with both PDF and bound copies of the test results.

Obviously security clearance was required for our staff to work within this area. This was obtained with little or no difficulty due to the stringent employment checks L&C already has in place.
